Got it done - thanks for the suggestions. I had a heat gun but no torch, so I gave it a try. Took 5 or 10 minutes to heat each joint, then 2 wrenches did the trick - thanks Dick. I also thought the old pipes would be corroded or partly clogged and was prepared to change plans once everything was apart. But they were pretty clean, so I just put them back together with the new line off the T. No leaks. Turned out to an easier job than I thought. Good advice forum. Thanks again. John |
