Your main drain is stopping up or at least filling with water, possibly due to a failing septic system. The bubbles are caused by air that is trapped between that water and the water in the toilet : I have a toilet that bubbles when I drain the water from the bathtub. What would cause this? This toilet is also the one thatwould backup when our septic system would "fill up" after heavy rains.
