1/4" per foot is correct. as far as the question, does the 2" pvc drain have a trap in it? pour water into the pipe and look in with a flashlight, if you see water then you have a trap. if you do not have a trap, it would be more professional to hammer up the floor to install a trap instead of raising the floor.
