drain for washing machine

I'm moving the the washer and dryer to what was the Master bedroom closet. It backs up to a sink in the master bathroom. There is plumbing for hot and cold water that I can tap into. My concern is the drain. There is a 2" pipe coming out of the floor it Tee's off to a P-Trap for the sink then on up and at an angle past the next stud, then out to a roof vent. Do I need to keep this roof vent? There are others downstream. Do I need to add a P-trap for the washing machine. If so, how might I go about installing a P-Trap for the washing machine without busting out the condrete slab?
