|In response to Re: installing 50's era bathtub|
The biggest question to ask is how long they think it will take. An old tub is no more difficult than a new one. I have installed many tubs by myself and it usually takes about two hours or less depending on the clearances of the recess where it is being installed.
: I would appreciate any information on how to go about installing an old cast iron tub. As we cannot lift the tub by ourselves, we plan on hiring the job out. Unfortunately, plumbers are not always dependable in our area, nor are the contractors from the home stores. I'd like to have some basic info when talking so I know I'm spending money well.
