If you aren't tapping into the larger supply mains you may notice a decrease in flow and if it is farther away from certain fixtures you may have to wait longer for hot water to get there. Otherwise there should be no problem as far as water lines go. What about electricity or gas and flue pipe?
: I'm doing some remodeling and planing to move the hot water heater from inside the house to the garage. I was told if i do this i have to run pipes from where the heater was to make it work right. Could i not just cap it off and and tap into the closest hot and cold water pipes?
