After about two times with this problem, I would dig up the running trap and remove it. That concept has been out of date for years, if not decades. There is nothing that can remove the soap powder, since it is apparently not dissolving. Therefore it settles into the low spot of the system, (the trap), and at that point the flow rate is too low to keep it moving through the trap.

: I HAVE A RUNNING TRAP SYSTEM THAT LEADS INTO CITY SEWAGE. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TRAP GETTING CLOGGED WITH SOAP POWDER BUILD UP FROM MY WASHING MACHINE.
: I USUALLY HAVE TO RUN A POWER SNAKE DOWN IT TO CLEAN IT OUT EVERY YEAR. DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY CLEANER TO USE PERIODICALY TO KEEP IT FROM GETTING CLOGGED?
