I replaced my bathroom floor and installed a new American Standard toilet. My problem is that the new floor is about 3/8" lower than the old floor so I can't get the toilet level and secure on the floor. It is about by about 1/4". Can I use shims to level it out? It is water tight and works ok but I shut the water off until I figure out what to do. The closet flange sticks up above the new floor so I think this is what is causing my problem. |
