If you removed the stem to install the surround, one of two things may have happened. The stem has a rubber seal at the bottom and that may have fallen off, or the ceramic closure disc may have cracked. Either case would give a leaking faucet.

: Hello Terry,
: My husband and I just bought a Jameco model # BS2262 tub and shower fauct and had also been installing a new surround around the tub.As we went to put the new surround piece on the wall with the faucet head we unscrewed the knob piece that attaches the on/off knob. Now we can't get it to go back in right Or when we do the water will not turn off completely..We need help!!!!!..Hoping to hear from you soon.
