It is called pipe joint compound, (pipe dope), and tightening the connection. Copper to brass does not corrode unless it is leaking. : I'm getting corrosion from my copper to brass nipple connections. I've heard of copper to galvanized corrosion and the use of dieletric unions to prevent that problem. : Is there anything similar that can be done to prevent copper to brass corrosion?
