Ed:--American Standard made a toilet called the vent-a-way series that would induce a vacuum in the bowl by way of a water powered venturi. The "Luxor" model is the one that I am most familiar with. It did a great job of removing retrograde burps and the like from the toilet creating a nuisance in confined areas. Contact your local A/Std. rep for what is presently available.
