: In a previous message I stated carrier as the maker. This was wrong. My builder has suggested the complete heat system by Lennox. Is there a less expensive system out there for the same or less money. l I don't have one and don't know a whole lot about them except that they are rarely installed by a builder. I suspect that there is a good reason for that. The controls are complex and the burner or element is very large compared to standard water heaters. I would expect problems and maintenance costs to be proportionatly larger
Is there a reason you can't use a standard water heater?
