|In response to Re: "Water Logged" Well System|
: I am on a well system and am experiencing "water hammer" and almost constant "clicking"of the
: gauge on/at the holding tank. I believe the system is "water logged", i.e., the holding tank needs air.
: Am I correct that I need to shut off the main water valve leeding into the tank ... open all faucets ...
: pump air into the holding tank (how much ???) ... then turn the main valve back on and, shut off all
: Appreciate any advice you could offer.

Ron That is one way of doing it. But I suggest that you invest in a factory precharged well tank. The air you put in your system should be about 28lbs and your pump should kick on at 30lbs and off around 50. Dale's Plumbing Service Inc LMP
