|In response to Re: Basement stubbed in for bathroom|
: I want to finish my basement and have most of the work in progress but I don't know where to begin on the bathroom. It is stubbed in for a tub, toilet , and sink. The toilet stub is pvc 4" wide and stands 14" from floor. Do I cut this down? Tub connection is 4" from floor, cut it? Any help would be appreciated. Drawings, pictures?
: Thanks for your help.
Cut the 4" pipe flush with the floor. if there is a space around the pipe then glue a 4" floor flange to this pipe. If the concrete come up to the pipe (4" pipe) then use an inside cutter (little saw) on a 3/8 drill and cut the pipe 3/4" below the floor then glue a 4x3" hub floor flange inside this 4" pipe. They also have a 2-turn floor flange that may not require the 3/4" to be cut off below the floor. Hope this Helps. Dale's Plumbing Service Inc LMP
