|In response to Re: New Bathroom Water Supply|
If you had black water pipes, you would have had rusty water continually and the system would have failed long before this. No matter how you connect steel and copper piping, electrolysis will occur and the steel pipe will rust out sooner than it normally would.
: I am installing a new bathroom in my basement. My house was built in 1941, and has 1/2" black pipe for the water supply. I am planning on using copper for the new supply lines. How can I connect the two where they will join? Is this black pipe common for water supply? I appreciate your response! Thanks!
