: : I am in the process of building a new two story home with all the plumbing being routed in the 16 : inch space between the floors. There are two water systems. One is the city water used throughout : the house and the other is lake water routed through the house to the exterior spigots. I have : insulated all copper lines in the exterior wall, but I'm concerned about whether the others should be : insulated as well. Is it possible to get condensation off these lines? Would the hot water last longer : in the pipes if they were insulated? : Please advise. Insulating the hot and cold water pipes is a win win situation. If you can do it, Do it.
