I am in the process of building a new two story home with all the plumbing being routed in the 16
inch space between the floors. There are two water systems. One is the city water used throughout
the house and the other is lake water routed through the house to the exterior spigots. I have
insulated all copper lines in the exterior wall, but I'm concerned about whether the others should be
insulated as well. Is it possible to get condensation off these lines? Would the hot water last longer
in the pipes if they were insulated?
