rocky pedestal sink

I bought a Home Depot pedestal sink that has no mounting screws for the bottom part. The top seems to only attach to the wall by hanging on a bracket, which is fine...but if I hang the bracket low enough for the top to rest on the bottom, the bottom acts as a fulcrum and the top will tip. If I hang the bracket higher, so the sink top is just hanging, it doesn't touch the bottom and that seems plain wrong. Any suggestions? There are two holes int eh back of the sink, ostensibly to screw the sink to the wall, but the clearance is only about 2" and there's no way to get a screw in there. Should I screw lag bolts into the wall and mount it that way?
