Two Questioms: (1) How does the renegeration water exit from a water softener -- by gravity flow over a downward pitch or is it pumped so that it can flow upward to a drain line? (2) Can the degree of softness be regulated in a regeneration on demand unit? Thanks in Advance John S. Witzeman
