: All I've ever seen and used are the braided stainless steel models. I threw the rubber ones that came with my Maytag away on day 1. In fact, I have braided stainless on every fixture in the house. Nothing worse than a leak, especially in newer homes where the laundry is often not in the basement.

Thanks for reply. Was about to purchase braided stainless hose but got another reply to question from "Floodcheck Corp" at www.floodchek.com. Hoses are guaranteed 20 years and they look like great technology. Will try.
