If it is a "new" new home then it is the problem of the installer to fix it. If the house is just "new" to you, then the anti-scald valve may not be working. : I am purchasing a new home and when we walked through the house there was no hot water anywhere : in the house although thewre is hot water in the tank and the tank is turned to max heating. : When I turned on the hot water, there was a approx. 5 second burst of hot water and then : it was cold. The anti scald valve is right at the water heater and since the heater was turned : to max, could the problem be that the valve is not working correctly or the water : out of the tank is to hot? : thanks : don weber
