: I have a sump hole in my basement. No pump. There is a PVC pipe running from the LP gas furnace : into the hole. (I don't know why). The hole is capped and caulked due to a radon system. I just : discovered some water coming up through a small hole in the caulk around the entry way of the : pipe. What actions should I be taking if any? The house is 11/2 years old with no signs of basement : water problems. (I just moved in 2 weeks ago). Any advice would be appreciated. Tony, This pipe is a condensate drain from the furnace. some furnaces condensate all year round. If this is the case you will have to put a condensate pump for the furnace and pump it into a drain somewhere. A washer drain in the basement?? A floor drain in the basement?
