: Our well water, particularly to the bathroom and utility room usually (but not always) has a sulfurous smell and taste. Bad enough so you don't even want to brush your teeth, wash your face, etc. This is true of both hot and cold water. And it's not nearly as bad in the kitchen and other bath. Our water is a little hard (about 8 grains) and has about .3 ppm iron, about 240 ppm alkalinity according to tests we ran. We've tried filters without success. Would a water softener help? Thanks
