Hi Jan: To install a 3-pc. bathroom, you would have to open up the concrete to get at the building drain, unfortunatly. That is quite common when there is no roughed-in plumbing. But more importantly, this bathroom group has to be properly vented through the plumbing vent system. Check to see if there is a plumbing vent line anywhere in the basement that can be used as the bathroom vent. If not, then you will have to find a way to extend a vent( 1.5" size pipe) down from the upper floor to this basement bathroom. Sometimes, when the house plumbing is installed, the plumber will drop down a "future vent" for this purpose. Look for a pipe comming down through the floor with a cap on it. That would be the future vent for any future plumbing. Good luck
