: I have an American Stadard cast iron bathroom sink, circa 1950. I need to remove the drain from the basin. I have tried using a small amount of heat from a torch to pop it out but so far have been unsuccesfull. Maybe I need a special wrench? Does anyone know a better method?
Brian, If you are replaceing the complete pop-up assembly then try useing a hack saw.Dale's Plumbing Service LMP
