: I have completed gutted my master bath and am down to the old shower base. It appears that the pipe is somehow connected to the base by an adhesive. I have cut part of the base, expecting to see some sort of connection underneath, but was amazed to just see the pipe. Any suggestions for removing this base?

Shower bases can be connected with:
Rubber seals, lifting off works on these.
Lead connections, cut the pipe below.
Glue connections, cut the pipe below.
In most cases, cutting the pipe is needed. Using a coupling is pretty standard in these cases. Terry
