Before you buy the filter...

Did you replace your main supply line or yard service line from the city water supply? Chances are if you had rusty discoloration from your past interior pipes, the very same problem may lie within your main supply line as well.

Good Luck

: Hi-
: Thank you in advance for your help.
: The water in my water district has a high mineral/and or rust content. I have replaced all the plumbing pipes in my house which included a new water heater, so there is no possibility of there being a rust problem due to rust in our pipes (all copper). We still have discolored hot and cold water (rust colored). My question is: is there an after market filter which I can attach to a boiler drain type shutoff valve which leads to my washing machine hot and cold water inlets? Would this filter substantially reduce the flow rate to the washing machine? The discoloration that the water is doing to my laundry is driving me nuts!
: Thank you!
