In response to Re: Clogged Shower/Sink drain
: I have a shower drain and sink drain that eventually feed into the same drain that goes into the ground. It is clogged pretty bad. Water will still drain but very slow. I have used a small snake. I have used the Liquid Plumber foam cleaner. Neither has worked. A friend suggested using Liquid Heat. He says that he has used it in the past, and it worked great with no harm to the pipes. What are some your opinions on using this stuff? Thanks.

Kevin, If the stoppage was above groung i would try it but the stoppage being below ground may require a good electric sewer machine to get this line cleaned. You may waste money on chemicals trying to clean this line ,but It is a pretty good bet the machine will clear it. I have used a sewer machine first then a bacterior type drain cleaner that will continue to keep the line clean. I have had the best results with Thrift. Read instructions FIRST. Wear safty glasses.
