Do you flip the handle on the top plate to hold the bath water in the tub? or is it a tip toe. If you have a lever and you took the top plate off it should have a rod and plunger or spring on the end. If it is a rod only the other parts are still down there plugging the drain. Victor, You may have a drum trap but i wonder what kind of waste and overflow you have. Do you flip the handle on the top plate to hold the bath water in the tub? or is it a tip toe.
