: : : How do I get the drain plug out of the tub.It is draining very slow and I would like to clean it out?I tried strong cemocjals couple of times-did not work. Than I removed upper plate and tried to snake it out,but snake dos not go inside more than 2 feet no matter how hard i push. What to do next ? : thanks for promt responce. : Victor Victor, You may have a drum trap but i wonder what kind of waste and overflow you have. Do you flip the handle on the top plate to hold the bath water in the tub? or is it a tip toe. If you have a lever and you took the top plate off it should have a rod and plunger or spring on the end. If it is a rod only the other parts are still down there plugging the drain.
