: : Builder has provided rough in plumbing down in the
: : basement for a full bath. Can I install a PVC toilet
: : flange which sits on the inside of the 4" rough PVC, or
: : shoud I chip out around the 4" PVC and install flange
: : over the 4" PVC pipe?

: Dave, You will have to cut the pipe about 3/4" below the floor with an inside cutter in order to glue a 4" x 3" hub floor flange inside this pipe.Did the plumber put any insulation around this pipe so you wouldn't have to chip this concrete? Wear safty glasses while chipping concrete. Dale's Plumbing Service LMP

::Dave, there are pvc closet flanges that do fit inside 4"pipe without
CHIPPING or useing 4" flanges ,,the flange is flat on the bottom side not tapered
