: How do I install a shower stall pan on a concrete floor where the builder has roughed in the plumbing?

Dave,If you are talking about a fiberglass shower pan this is how to do it. The plumber should have left a 12 x 12 box in the concrete floor. Dig out the dirt and you should find a 2" pipe. Measure your opening (example 36") where the shower goes and when you get the shower pan there should be a drawing as to where to have this pipe come up out of the floor. You need to put a p trap in the floor on this 2" pipe. Install the shower drain on the shower with silicone and set the base over the pipe. cut the pipe at the right height and use the rubber gasket to seal the drain. There will be a tool to tighten this gasket. Hope this helps. Dale's Plumbing Service LMP
