|In response to Re: Pressure Switch Buzzing|
: : My water pressure switch makes a buzzing sound. I have already put on a new one and it does the same thing. Its located about one pipe foot from the pressure tanks and mounted on a 2" nipple above the main pipe.
: I have never heard a chattering in a pressure switch before. Is the 2" nipple open? Knock on your pressure tank and make sure it is not full. Hold the pressure switch and see if it quits chattering. Would you let us know what is causing this when you find out? Thanks Dale's Plumbing Service LMP
Opps! I took a better look and it seems that its the pressure guage. The needle vibrates and I pulled the cover off of the front and stoppin the needle lessens the noise. I'll change the gauge and let you know what happens. Thanks for the ideas.
