Thanks to both of you for the advice. I've actually searched radiant floor heating, and looked at some of the 9,485 returns, but couldn't find any specifics on eliminating the conventional heating units. I was hoping for a unit that would mount in the floor, as opposed to on the floor. Maybe I should go all the way and look closely at hydronics.

: Hi Robert,

: : I really like hot water heat. However, the wall space taken up by the baseboard unit is unacceptable. Now that I'm remodling, I have the opportunity to do something about it. My problem is, I don't know what options are available. I would assume some brilliant soul has invented an in-floor unit to replace the conventional fixture, but I can't find it. Anybody have any clues?

: Do a search on: radiant floor heating

: If you have access to your floor joists you may be able to install here.
: Or tearup/otherwise replace your floors and mount the tubing on top of your subfloor, with new flooring on top.
: Good health, Weogo Reed
