: We are remodeling an old farmhouse which has one section that is log. I am looking for the best method to heat it. There is no basement but we could possibly put a unit in an out building. I do not want to cut through the logs to put in duct work for a forced air system. Some of our rooms are small and wall space is at a premium. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Raidiant floor heat. You will need to install a small boiler or water heater as a boiler. It could be put in the utility room or dig out a 6x6 hole under the house with a concrete floor and block walls. It can be run on natural gas or electric if needed. Strap pex pipe to the under side of the floor or put hot water heating elements under the floors. Just a suggestion. Dale's Plumbing Service LMP
