: I am moving my washing machine to the other side of the first floor laundry room and will have to use a Studor valve for venting. There will be a 48' standpipe that drops through the floor to the basement. It will then run horizontally across the basement ceiling for 8 feet to a 90-degree drop into the old drain location. Where is the best place to put the trap and the Studor vent? I would like to have the P-trap just under the floor, and the Studor vent coming off a T right after the trap, at the start of the horizontal run. Will this work? : You should put the trap above the floor behind the washer with a tee and install the AAV Studor mini-vent a min (must) of 4" above the weir of the trap.
