There has to be some way to install a chrome shower arm without scratching and marring the finish, but I sure haven't found it. I've tried wrapping electrician's tape on the jaws of arc-joint pliers, putting rubber sheeting between the jaws and the shower arm, and I've tried two different configurations of strap wrenches. I've thought about buying curved jaw Robo-Grip pliers with the jaw protectors, but I have my doubts about the success of that. Does anyone have a sure-fire remedy? |
