In response to Re: shower diverter/ faucets
: : : : : Hey Terry,
: : : : : I had a problem with water coming out the faucet AND the showerhead, so I replaced all the stems and seats, but I STILL have water coming out the faucet when it should all be going to the showerhead. What did I do wrong?
: : : : : Please say that I used the wrong kind of seat or something easy!
: : : : :

: : : Terry,
: : : I bought new stems for this, so I am assuming that the 950-040 part came with it! But you know what they say about assuming

: : : : Tracie, Do use have a diverter spout? Or do you have a 3 handle tub/shower faucet? If you have a diverter spout change it. Dale Peck LMP

: : : Hi Dale, I have the 3 handle version.

: : Traci, Did you put pipe dope on the threads of the new seats? Dale

: Dale, this is probably the one thing I did do right!
: I MAY have forgotten the nylon washer as Terry said, so now I get to go back and look at it!
: Do I need to shut off the water supply to do this?

: I want to thank both of you for your fast responses and great help! If I ever need a plumber, do you guys make house calls to Sumner???

: THANKS
: Tracie

Traci, I'm not sure where this nylon waser goes , so to be safe i would shut off the water.Dale's Plumbing Service LMP
