Dale, this is probably the one thing I did do right!
I MAY have forgotten the nylon washer as Terry said, so now I get to go back and look at it!
Do I need to shut off the water supply to do this?

I want to thank both of you for your fast responses and great help! If I ever need a plumber, do you guys make house calls to Sumner???
