: Hi Terry, The problem is that my garbage disposal is rusty and leaking. How do I replace that with regular piping and discard the garbage disposal all together? Shonda, I'm not Terry but I'll try to help if you want me to. Take the disposal out and install a basket strainer. Get a tail peice with the flanged lip on the end. Get a center out let waste or an end outlet waste whichever one you need. I am assumeing you have a double sink. Install the basket strainer useing plumbers putty. Tie in to the existing sink useing the parts i mentioned. Hope this helps. Dale Peck LMP
