: Should a tub be vented after the trap or before the trap? I am approximately seven feet away from the main : stack with a two inch drain. L O'Brian, The code calls for this 2" line to have a trap arm no longer than 60". But between you and me It should work just fine as it is. Some codes would allow what you have already.
