: can't get a good joint between copper pipe and brass fitting everything looks good when doing copper to copper. What could be going on?????
Paul, Are you soldering a copper pipe into a male adapter that has been made up into a fitting? You need to solder the male or female fitting first, let it cool then screw it into what ever you are working on. Use plenty of teflon tape (7 wraps) or a good teflon pipe dope. Hope this helps.
