We just bought a house and when we turn on the garbage disposer some of the waste we're trying to grind up comes up on the other side of the sink. I looked at the way it is plumbed and it appears that where the pipe that comes out of the disposer and the pipe that comes from the drain side of the sink meet a a Y then proceed to the p-trap. Is this right? It seems that the waste being ground up has a chance to come up the drain side of the sink before going on out of the house. Can anyone help on the plumbing configuration? |
