In response to Re: Luke Warm Water
: I have an electric water heater, approximately 5 years old. The lower heater element burned through and was replaced about two months ago. Now the hot water is never any hotter than luke warm, no matter what the setting. The circuit breakers are not thrown and the heater is full of water. Would the thermostat be faulty or should I be checking something else?
Dennis, You may need to replace both elements,But first you need to check the dip tube in your water heater. If it is broke it will give you warm water only.If you are on a slab make sure you have no underground leaks. So in order, 1-check dip tube,2 check other element,3 check for leaks in hot water line.Make sure the thermostat is properly reinstalled on the heater. Dale Peck LMP
