: What is the best way to install a whirlpool tub in a basement and on a concrete floor?

S. white. Well first you need to locate the drain under the basement floor by cutting up the concrete floor. Then you need to bring this 2" drain to the location of the whirlpool. Install a vent line for this drain. Cement the floor up. Then make your frame for the whirlpool. Pour premixed joint compound (1") on the floor below the whirlpool and then set the whirlpool on the compound. Drill the hole for the roman tub faucet and bring the hot and cold water to the tub.Install an 1-1/2 trap on the 1-1/2 trap arm in the floor to your waste and overflow from the tub.Make sure your pump is accessable. You will need to run a seperate circuit for the pump om the whirlpool. Good luck on your project.Tile and sheet rock work done by others. Dale peck LMP
