Tom, Toilet tanks are matched to bowls. Mounting a pressure assist tank to a gravity bowl would be disaster. However, if you are looking for a like priced model to replace the Crane with, you can use a American Standard new Cadet. http://www.terrylove.com/wc/as/ascadetel.htm If you are looking for the added power of the assisted flush, Both American Standard Cadet PA and Gerber Ultraflush do well. Terry : My house is 3 years old. The builders installed cheap 1.6 gallon Crane toilets without any pressure assist or other fancy flushing mechanisms. As you can imagine we have learned to use a plunger quite well. : One toilet tank developed a crack and is now leaking. I am now in the process of finding out if this is under warranty, but in the meantime I am wondering if I can install a Flushmate tank from Crane on the current non-Flushmate bowl. If not, would it be worthwhile to replace the entire toilet instead of just replacing the tank with a similar non pressure assist model? : Thanks for any help. |
