Crane Toilet Tank Leaks ... Replacement Options?
Posted by Tom Barnaby on November 29, 1999 at 20:46:57:

My house is 3 years old. The builders installed cheap 1.6 gallon Crane toilets without any pressure assist or other fancy flushing mechanisms. As you can imagine we have learned to use a plunger quite well.

One toilet tank developed a crack and is now leaking. I am now in the process of finding out if this is under warranty, but in the meantime I am wondering if I can install a Flushmate tank from Crane on the current non-Flushmate bowl. If not, would it be worthwhile to replace the entire toilet instead of just replacing the tank with a similar non pressure assist model?

Thanks for any help.
