Picture this: Coming to a grocery store near you, lined up next to the bottles of Evian and Calistoga - city of Seattle bottled water. It could happen. The Seattle City Council yesterday passed a resolution authorizing Seattle Public Utilities to hire an expert to determine the feasibility of bottling and selling Seattle's drinking water. "Seattle's water - our drinking water - is pure enough to bottle," said Councilwoman Margaret Pageler, chair of the Utilities and Environmental Management Committee, which recommended the adoption of the resolution. |
