|In response to Re: tight toliet handle|
: the handle on our toliet will not move...so the toliet will not flush, unless we pull up the stopper in the tank, then it will flush normally
: I know the handle will break if I force it, it is that tight!
: my mom's toliet has done the loose floppy handle thing when it gets diconnected from the stopper, but I don't know what to do about this thing
: please help...I would like to avoid calling the landlord as he is very inept
: he didn't seal a water pipe well enough once and we had a small flood as a result!
Annie, WD40 is the answer. But you may need to replace the handle also. Now listen.the nut that holds the handle has a left hand thread. So normally when you tighten something it has a right hand thread. I have also had to hack saw the nut off in order to replace the handle. So be carefull, you may crack the tank. Dale Peck LMP
