: A toothbrush has gone down the toilet. What do I do to get the pressure back? Ellen, The toothbrush will need to be removed. More than likely, the toothbrush is catching all matter of debries. You can try a small mirror to see the the offending item is within view. Sometimes, it is a matter of using a plunger, closet auger, or at near worst, removal of the toilet to the outdoors to have a better look at the bottom of the trapway. At the very worst, if the brush can't be removed, replacement of the bowl or toilet. Terry
