|In response to Re: Bathroom-shower|
: I am working on a remodeling project for my parents and am going to replace a leaky shower stall. The current stall has a precast, terazzo pan and tile walls.
: This arrangement has always leaked. Since the shower is an odd size, and space constrictions allow for only replacing the current shower, would it be better to use all tiles, with a "safe pan" built for the pan? Any suggestions would help.
DM, The base is probably ok. Its the sheet rock and tile walls that probably need replaced. Use wonder board (a cement board 4x3 sheet) If you replace the base put in a new pan and concrete and tile floor. Make sure you use the proper shower drain and have 1/4" per ft grade back to the drain.Hope this helps. Dale
